PORR was recognised in the category of companies that employ more than 100 people. It was the only construction firm in this group. The companies awarded in the EduEmployer competition had been nominated by the principals of Warsaw’s vocational schools.
In selecting the winners, the competition committee, composed of representatives of local government and business organisations, considered factors such as the employer’s contribution to equipping the school’s teaching facilities, running patronage classes, enhancing students’ skills, providing professional development opportunities for teachers and organising competitions.
PORR has been introducing young people to the intricacies of working in the construction industry for several years now. It organises meetings and workshops in technical secondary schools and supports youth-oriented initiatives that promote careers in construction. Among its partner institutions is the Stanisław Noakowski Technical Secondary School of Architecture and Construction in Warsaw.
