As part of the investment, provincial road No. 687 Juszkowy Gród - Zwodzieckie and provincial road No. 688 Tarnopol - Siemianówka (Hajnówka district) will be built and extended. As previously reported by PZDW, in total this means the reconstruction of over 21 km of roads and the construction of another 4 km. There will also be a bypass for Narewka and Lewków (with the construction of a new bridge and demolition of the existing one in Lewków Nowy), access to the railway border crossing with Belarus in Siemianówka will be improved, and 20 km of cycle path will be built. All necessary technical infrastructure will also be rebuilt, including level crossings. Permits have already been issued for these road investments.
Residents, tourists and businesses will benefit
The interconnecting provincial roads 687 and 688 are the most important transport route in the Narewka municipality. It not only serves residents and tourists, but is also of significant economic importance. It is the only route used by trucks travelling towards the railway border crossing and reloading terminal in Siemianówka, as well as the fleet of companies operating in the immediate area.
