The new building, which is part of the New Seat of the University Hospital complex in Krakow - Prokocim, will be constructed on a 0.7-hectare plot. The contract provides for the construction of a building with a total volume of about 50,000 cubic meters and five floors, one of which will be an underground garage with about 130 parking spaces.
The vast majority of the floor space (more than 10,000 sq. m.) will be occupied by office and administrative space. The plan also includes conference rooms, archives, directors' offices and social rooms, among others. On the first floor, next to the entrance hall, there will be space for a restaurant or store.
First phase of New Seat of the University Hospital expansion
The project entrusted to PORR is the first stage of the expansion of the New Seat of the University Hospital in Krakow - Prokocim. Subsequent phases of the hospital expansion include a hospital building and a four-story surface parking lot.
New Seat of the University Hospital is one of Europe's largest investments in health care, worth more than 1 billion 230 million zlotys. The general contractor of the University Hospital in Krakow - Prokocim is a consortium of Warbud and PORR which carried out the investment between 2015 and 2019.
