The office building of Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne in Radom has been topped out

Warsaw, May 15, 2023 – Less than nine months after the first shovel was driven into the ground, a symbolic topping out ceremony was held on the building of the new office building of Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne in Radom. This means that construction works have been completed and the buildings of the complex have reached their target height. The general contractor of the investment is a consortium of PORR S.A. companies. and FAST Group.

At the request of Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne, the national transmission system operator, two three-story buildings will be built in Potkanów in Radom, combining office and administration functions with a total volume of almost 158,000 m2. They will be adjacent to the technical part related to the management of the district power dispatch. The office and administration part will be connected with the technical building by a single-storey underground part. There will also be a helipad and auxiliary buildings on the premises of the PSE headquarters. The contract also provides for the performance of land development works. The construction of the facility began in the third quarter of 2022, and its completion is planned for 2024.

- The symbolic topping out of the PSE building means that we have reached the open shell of the investment. Thus, after nine months of intensive work, we are moving to the next stage of the construction of the facility, which will be a modern complex combining office, administrative and technical functions related to the management of the national power system. We have already started the assembly of the external façade of the building. At the same time, finishing works are underway and electrical and sanitary works, which are crucial for this investment, are being carried out - said Dariusz Wietrzyński, Member of the Management Board of PORR S.A.

The design of the office building was made in BIM (Building Information Modelling). It is a modern technology of digital modeling and description of building elements. It allows for both precise design and more effective management of the facility after its commissioning.

When designing the building, great emphasis was placed on the use of environment-friendly solutions - the new PSE facility in Radom will be energy-efficient, it will also use technologies that enable the use of rainwater, and photovoltaic panels will be installed on the roof.
