In 1993, PORR started its business operations in Poland. PORR S.A. was formed in April 2017 following a merger of two independent companies – PORR Polska Construction S.A., which focused on building and railway construction, and PORR Polska Infrastructure S.A., with core competencies in the fields of infrastructure, energy construction, hydraulic engineering and civil engineering. Thanks to the merger of these companies, PORR now offers a comprehensive range of services in every sector of the modern construction industry.

PORR maintains a presence throughout Poland with offices in Warsaw, Gdańsk, Poznań, Kraków and Wrocław. Thanks to our many years of market experience and the deep expertise of our employees, PORR S.A. is one of the leading service providers for engineering and railway, bridge and road construction projects in Poland.

This makes us a dynamic company with strong potential for growth. Clear responsibilities, streamlined, flexible structures and transparent management are other key success factors – as, of course, is our focus on topics that will shape the future of the construction industry: digitalisation and innovation.

The construction sector is not immune to the effects of digitalisation. Countries such as the United Kingdom and the Scandinavian states provide good examples of its use. At PORR, we are well positioned in terms of digitalisation and aim to expand our market presence even more.

For several years, we have been working intensively on digitalisation, building information modelling (BIM), paperless construction sites and the new world of work. The reason for this is plain to see: new technologies enable us to realise your construction project more quickly, more efficiently, more cost-effectively and, above all, more transparently.

Different perspectives open up new opportunities. That is why PORR works closely with partners from the worlds of science and research in all of its home markets. Here we focus on long-term cooperation. In most cases, we are involved in multi-year projects for developing complex technical processes in the field of civil engineering. We emphasise resource conservation in everything we do.

New ideas and creative concepts make all the difference and give us a competitive advantage. This is why every single PORRian is responsible for innovation. The Technology Management and Innovation department is our central point of contact, offering advice and support to all employees in operational areas. 

PORR can look back on a long tradition of progress and further development. As early as the beginning of the 20th century, the inventions of civil engineer Arthur Porr, the eponymous founder of our company, led to a significant breakthrough in concrete construction techniques.

Here at PORR, BIM enables us to think in more than just three dimensions. Indeed, the 5D planning systems has now arrived: the fourth dimension relates to time, while the fifth relates to costs. Working in this way delivers cost savings, minimises mistakes, accelerates decision-making and improves the flow of information. These effects benefit all parties involved in a project – our customers, our partners and PORR, too, of course.
