In line with our slogan “smart building connects,” this project will also improve safety for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists. Of course, in this case, all solutions will be the result of traffic volume analyses and forecasts. They will inform the decision on the construction of additional pedestrian and cycle paths or the number and location of bus stops.
What is certain, however, is that the current road layout will be replaced by a junction with circular traffic and the location of the bus bay, the parking platform on the carriageway of the trunk road and the bus stop platforms will be changed. One of the crossings will be removed and four new ones will be located at the entries to the intersection. Crossroads will be reconstructed depending on the chosen intersection option. The entire designed road system will be illuminated in accordance with current regulations and crossings will be provided with extra lighting and marked. The project will include the design and construction of other required road safety features such as barriers, pedestrian fences and elements for the disabled. The construction of a culvert is also planned to properly discharge rainwater to the receiving water body.
The value of the project is almost PLN 12 million gross. The planned completion date for the construction works is 22 months from the contract date. Winter periods (i.e. 16 December to 15 March) are not included in the completion time.
