The S8 to be built by PORR on the 13.8 km long section from Kobierzyce Południe to Jordanów Śląski will be routed along a new track on the western side of the existing trunk road. Our work will result in an express dual carriageway with two lanes in both directions and emergency shoulders. In the future, it will be possible to add a third lane, using the central reservation strip. The Jordanów Śląski junction will also be built at the crosspoint of the S8 with the existing DK8 and district roads. Moreover, the contractor’s tasks include the construction of 5 bridges with animal crossing functions, 7 viaducts over the expressway and 3 flyovers along it. We plan to complete the task in the second half of 2027.
The construction of the expressway between Wrocław and Kłodzko will improve travel comfort and safety on this route. At the moment, many accidents occur on the narrow DK8 due to the heavy traffic. This regionally important investment enshrined in the Government’s National Roads Construction Programme 2030 (with an outlook to 2033) has been divided into six shorter sections. The construction of the first three has been commissioned, with PORR tasked with building the longest one. The value of the contract is more than PLN 401 million.
