PORR contractor for construction of connection gas pipeline to Dolna Odra Power Plant

Warsaw, March 21, 2022 - GAZ-SYSTEM has signed a contract with PORR S.A. for the construction of about 63 km of the Przywodzie - Dolna Odra gas pipeline and a gas station. Construction work will begin in late March/early April this year. Their completion is planned in the late third and early fourth quarters of 2023.

Under the contract, PORR will build a gas pipeline with a diameter of DN700, a maximum working pressure (MOP) of 8.4 MPa and a total length of 63 kilometers. The route of the connection gas pipeline will run through the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in the municipalities: Przelewice, Pyrzyce, Kozielice, Banie, Bielice, Gryfino, Widuchowa. The gas pipeline will connect the Dolna Odra Power Plant in Nowe Czarnowo with the existing gas infrastructure in Przywodzie. The newly built gas pipeline will be connected to the DN1000 and DN700 Goleniów - Lwówek gas pipelines.A gas station with a capacity of 250,000 m3/h will also be built for the connection.

About the investment 

The newly designed gas pipeline will connect the Dolna Odra Power Plant in Nowe Czarnowo, owned by PGE Górnictwo i Energetyka Konwencjonalna, with the existing GAZ-SYSTEM gas infrastructure. This will allow us to take advantage of the potential from the availability of fuel supplied to the Świnoujście LNG Terminal and the planned route of the Baltic Pipe pipeline.
