Topping out at Andersia Silver. Poznań has a new height leader

Warsaw, 22.09.2023 - A symbolic topping out has been hung on the last floor of Andersia Silver. The office building has reached its target height and has become the tallest building in the capital of Greater Poland. This is an important moment for Poznań. PORR S.A. is the general contractor of the office building.

The symbolic topping out symbolizes the completion of the construction of the over 110-meter-high building. This moment was awaited not only by the initiators and implementers of the investment. Towering over Poznań, Andersia Silver has pulled off its target height and become the tallest building in the capital of Wielkopolska.

"Andersia Silver has changed the skyline of Poznań, becoming the tallest building not only of the city, but of Wielkopolska. We covered the road to the top - from level zero to the target height of the 25th floor - in a record time of just 12 months," - emphasized Piotr Kledzik, CEO of PORR S.A., the general contractor of the investment.

"This is a moment full of pride for us. Less than 12 months ago we laid the cornerstone, and today the structure of the building with 25 above-ground floors is ready. We owe this to the incredible skill and commitment of the general contractor PORR S.A. and its employees. And it is to them, above all, that we dedicate today's ceremony, at the same time thanking them for this extraordinary ability to turn the vision that is on paper into physical reality, i.e. into the Andersia Silver building", said Adam Trybusz, CEO of Andersia Property Sp. z o.o., during the topping out ceremony.

Andersia Silver the new leader in height, size and quality

The completion of the office building's construction means a change in the leadership position in the ranking of Poznań's tallest buildings. Andersia Silver is currently the tallest building in the capital of Greater Poland. However, the office building, which will be erected from 2020, will not only tower over Poznań in height. It is also Wielkopolska's largest office building, with 25 above-ground and three underground floors, more than 110 meters in height and as much as 40 thousand square meters of space. The building has been designed in accordance with the highest standards and principles of sustainable development, and its environmental performance will be confirmed by, among other things, a LEED Gold certification. Andersia Silver will be served by 15 elevators, and will offer its future tenants three types of space, varying in size, with the possibility of combining them by internal (surface) staircases. A bicycle room will be accessible directly from the first floor, along with a locker room, showers, service bays and chargers. The parking lot will include 227 parking spaces and charging stations for electric vehicles. A special building application will also contribute to the facility's high user comfort.

Construction like no other in Poznań

During the construction phase of Andersia Silver, for example, intriguing self-lifting formwork and wind shields, visible from the street, were used for the first time in Poznań. These innovative solutions make it possible to construct high-rise buildings by reducing the use of tower cranes and increasing worker safety.

Andersia Silver facades are also worth mentioning. They are energy-efficient, with high acoustic parameters and glazed with functional glass, which limits the amount of transmitted light, reducing the degree of heating of rooms, and thus the energy expenditure for cooling them. Importantly, the façade is made up of prefabricated segments assembled under factory conditions rather than directly on site, which will enable not only faster installation, but also greater pollution control and reduced waste. Already, one can see how successive floors are surrounded by modern glazing, in which tilt narrow sash windows have also been designed, allowing users of the building to ventilate their rooms, not only through full internal air conditioning systems, but also through direct access to outside air. These are solutions aimed at increasing the climatic comfort of the rooms with special attention to their sanitary and hygienic quality.

"It is not only the height of the building that impresses, but also its glass facade, which looks like a smooth mirror sheet thanks to the connecting elements invisible from the outside. We are installing it in a segmented system, i.e. without the use of scaffolding - this is the first use of this type of technology in Poznań", reveals Piotr Kledzik.

New architectural showcase of Poznań

Andersia Silver will shine not only in height, but also in architectural attractiveness. The unusual façade of the office building is formed by semistructured curtain walls giving the effect of a homogeneous sheet of glass. Tenants will be able to enjoy inspiring views of the Poznan skyline from as many as three terraces located on the 12th and 19th floors.

Andersa Square final look

The construction of Andersia Silver office building finalizes the 25-year-long investment project located at Andersa Square in Poznań. It is carried out jointly by Von der Heyden Group and the City of Poznań, with a total budget of EUR 250 million, or more than one billion zlotys. The result of this investment is a spectacular metamorphosis of a disorderly square into a vibrant urban office center of Poznan. The complex of buildings located at Anders Square has become a business landmark of the capital of Greater Poland, and the commissioning of Andersia Silver will further emphasize its potential, creating state-of-the-art office space in the most convenient location for users, for years associated with innovation and competitiveness.

"Building is an eminently collaborative activity. A single person will not create a facility of this size. That's why there are a lot of us and everyone here is important. We have a chance once again to leave a mark that will become part of the city's landscape, another place to take a walk with the grandchildren and tell them about the adventure we had here," said Wojciech Korybalski, Director of Region Poznań PORR S.A.

Completion of work on Poznań's Andersa Square and commissioning of the Andersia Silver office building is planned for 2025.
