The task is divided into two parts - an onshore one for the construction of a third container and a railway siding and an offshore one for the construction of a second jetty. The purpose of the investment project and the contract signed as early as February this year is to increase regasification capacities from 5 up to 7.5 bn m³ of gas per year, the reliability of the technological process and to broaden the spectrum of services offered by the Terminal with the possibility to load LNG onto ships of various sizes, including LNG bunker vessels, as well as onto tank cars and ISO containers. The task will be completed within 42 months as of entering into contract.
The consortium consisting of PORR S.A. and TGE Gas Engineering GmbH was the only bidder on that demanding project. The contracts signed today confirm PORR’s high competence in carrying out complex and advanced investment projects in the fields of industrial and railway construction as well as hydraulic engineering. Under the signed contract a broad spectrum of measures will be implemented which covers the whole investment process, starting from the design, through execution and ending with plant commissioning and start-up, which will allow to fully exploit the possessed potential and competence.

Until now, PORR has executed the 114-km-long Lwówek-Odolanów gas pipeline for GAZ-SYSTEM. Currently, the DN 1000 Tworóg-Tworzeń gasline with a length of 54 km is being finished. The contract worth ca. PLN 250 m is being performed in cooperation with the Belgian company Denys NV. Another project developed in conjunction with TGE Gas Engeenering for Polskie LNG is the extension of the liquid natural gas regasification unit by adding new submerged combustion vaporisers (SCV) to the Lech-Kaczyński LNG Terminal in Świnoujście, which will provide a 50%-increase in regasification capacity. The project is in its initial execution phase, its completion is planned for the end of 2021.
