Within the next 19 months, a four-storey sport, conference and hotel centre will be built at the Jakuszyce Clearing, with a total area of over 22,000 m2. The contract also includes the development of approximately 55,000 m2 of land, of which over 27,000 m2 will be prepared for sports surfaces.
The main assumption of the project is to create a multifunctional, all-year sports center, adapted to the needs of professionals as well as amateurs. The Lower Silesian Sports Center will be one of the most modern facilities of this type in Europe. Cross-country and biathlon trails, a football pitch, an athletics track, a rollerblade route, an indoor swimming pool, a sledding and biking hill for children and adolescents will be available on its premises. Inside the main building there will be a winter sports museum, a wellness center and a gym.
“In two years, a center will be built in Szklarska Poręba, thanks to which Jakuszyce will have the chance to become the capital of cross-country skiing and biathlon in Poland. This is another, after the Legia Training Center, investment of strategic importance for Polish sports, which PORR S.A. has the opportunity to implement.
