PORR to rebuild two Fast Urban Railway stops in Tricity

The renovation will not only refresh the look of the stops but will increase their accessibility and convenience for passengers. Apart from the platforms renovation, the broad scope of works encompasses rebuilding the adjacent tracks with the overhead traction network. The key part of both investment tasks will be the reconstruction of the double-edge platforms and the construction of lift shafts with cranes. In terms of tracks, the replacement of rails and the ballast replenishment will be carried out. Additionally, the support structures and suspensions of the traction network will be renewed.  

As a part of the modernisation of the Gdańsk Stocznia stop, the platform will be equipped with a new shelter while two existing ones will undergo maintenance. At the Gdynia Stocznia - Uniwersytet Morski stop, the existing platform canopies will be replaced by two new full-size platform shelters. Both stops will also be equipped with small architecture elements.

We hope this is the beginning of a successful cooperation, which will allow us to demonstrate our expertise and high standards in terms of execution. 

According to the plan, the two tasks will be executed within 24 months. The project documentation, including obtaining a building permit decision, is to be ready within 10 months. The modernisation is expected to deliver a new quality of infrastructure that will encourage passengers to choose an environmentally friendly mode of transport such as rail.
