The second line of the Thermal Processing Plant with Energy Recovery will be built-up in the existing building of the Rzeszów electrical power and heating plant. The new line will make maximum use of the existing infrastructure that was built during the construction of the first Processing Line which was commissioned in late 2018.
The current capacity of the first ITPOE process line is about 100,000 tons of waste per year. The capacity of the second process line will be about 80,000 tons of waste per year. After the completion of the investment, the Rzeszów installation will be able to process a total of up to 180 thousand tons of waste per year.
From the beginning, the ITPOE in Rzeszów was based on the assumption that two process lines would be built with a total waste processing capacity of 180 thousand tons per year. According to these assumptions, the main building was designed together with communication solutions and auxiliary installations.
„With full commitment we proceed to carry out the task entrusted to us by PGE Energia Ciepła. We are glad that we will be able to use our experience gained in the area of industrial construction in the project which is to support the transformation of the heating industry and the change of production assets to low-emission ones”, said Piotr Kledzik, CEO of PORR S.A.
