Under the contract, which has been signed, PORR will build eight residential buildings of various height – with seven and five storeys and a total area of more than 50 thousand square metres – on a ca. 3-hectare-large land lot located in the centre of Wrocław and demarked by Kolejowa, Grabiszyńska and Tęczowa Streets. "Nowa Kolejowa" will accommodate 469 flats and 6 service outlets. On the premises of the housing estate, there will be 526 parking spots, located mostly in underground garages.
Wrocław’s new housing estate will rise at a challenging location, as the city’s Old Town lies in close vicinity. Before starting basic works, several preparation works will be carried out, securing historical objects and dismantling the former base station of the Polish postal service ‘Poczta Polska’ included. Furthermore, polluted land will be remediated and an excavation pit with a total length of almost one kilometre will be secured.

I am immensely pleased, that today we can together begin construction works in Wrocław. 469 flats, 25 thousand square metres of residential floor area, 70 thousand cubic metres of excavated material to be taken away – these numbers are impressive, but we have experience in implementing such projects. The time of 26 months planned for execution is a challenge by itself, but when I consider our experience, I am convinced, that it will be enough to deliver that project”, said Ireneusz Kordalski, Operational Director of PORR S.A.’s Regional Office in Wrocław.
