A symbolic groundbreaking ceremony on the plot at Lubańska Street marked the beginning of the works on the site of the housing estate in Zgorzelec. The contract gained by PORR covers the construction of five four- and five-storey buildings with a total area of 16,764 m2, which will house 221 flats finished to a basic standard. The contractor's tasks also include the construction of accompanying infrastructure such as access roads, communication routes between buildings and arranged greenery.
The buildings will be constructed using traditional technology: a reinforced concrete and masonry structure with flat roofs covered with tar paper. The façade will be primarily a seamless thermal insulation system with decorative elements. The estate will be equipped with a set of sanitary, mechanical, electrical and teletechnical installations.

Here in Zgorzelec we are dealing with a renowned architectural office - S.A.M.I Architects and a general contractor known for handling the most difficult engineering projects - PORR - they are both specialists, so I am absolutely confident as regards the execution of this project”, emphasized Wojciech Caruk, president of PFR Nieruchomości S.A.

I am convinced that in 18 months we will all meet here to celebrate the completion of this investment and hand it over to the final beneficiaries, i.e. the residents”, added Ireneusz Kordalski, director of the Wrocław PORR Region.
The construction site will be marked out and fenced in June. Construction works (earthworks) are planned to start at the beginning of July. The construction will be carried out at a challenging location - right next to the largest sports facility in the region - Turów Arena, as well as in the vicinity of the District Hospital and the Polish-German border.
